Some people believe that you just can't enjoy eating a burger unless you have a good beer to go with it. In the past, you could only enjoy sodas with your meals at fast food restaurants, but now, a Burger King in Miami Beach will be offering beers as a menu choice. A beer will sell for $4.25, or $7.99 when ordered with a Whopper.
Would you buy beer at a fast food restaurant?

A sit-down restaurant is different in that the server/barman has the opportunity/right/legal duty to take away their keys and call a taxi for a patron who has obviously consumed too much. A drive-through restaurant has no such opportunity to intervene, even though they may also be required to do so by law. And frankly, in these days of so much knee-jerk litigation, I don't really want my safety on the road left to the judgement of a teenager working in the drive-through window who has less than a minute to observe their customer.
