San Antonio River Walk Photo Essay

Not this past December but the December before that my family went to visit my sister in Texas and we spent some time in down town San Antonio we had a really good time and at the end of the day we ended up walking around the River Walk.  Unfortunately when we got there our digital camera was pretty much full but we did manage to get some pictures of the entrance before it we could not take any more pictures.

For those of you who are not familiar with the river walk it is kind of like a canal going through this roofed in area, around the river there are some little stores and several restaurants.  It is something you will want to see if you are ever in San Antonia, it is really close to the Alamo as well.

I know it well!!!! We live a hop, skip, and a jump from beautiful downtown San Antonio. Great shots!

Great shots, it looks really pretty. Love the fountains! I was there about 35 years ago and I don't remember that it was covered... I wonder if it has changed or my memory is bad :o)

I love the River Walk especially during festivals and boat parades and art events. One day I would like to go back and see it again.
