Start on my career path!

So I recently decided I wanted to go into the IT field as some of you may have read from previous posts. Well today I took my first step into it. I ordered a "For Dummies" book on getting A+ certified about a week ago and I finally got it in the mail today. I am only a chapter in but I will be studying hard in all my free time. It is going to take me forever though! Seeing as its 1200 pages! But it will be definitely worth it!

All I have to do to be A+ certified is pass a 2 tests. They won't be easy, but by the time I am done with this book I should be pretty prepared! It will cost a little over 300 bucks to take both tests, but it will be worth the money if I succeed, or should I say WHEN I succeed! I have looked up what one can make at an entry level job and the average is about $33,000. Which is a great improvement over what I am making at my crappy job right now. It's nothing impressive, but better than what I have.

A+ (the test) is harder than it seams Ive seen kids go to class for two years and not be able to pass the test, have you had any training other than the book? If not you may want to check in to some at a local vocational school in your area. My son in law to be is certified in both A+ and A++ he had training for two years and said the tests were pretty hard

Yeah I will be looking into classes as well. I am not taking this lightly. My room mate is making fun of me for getting a book and studying because A+ is sooo simple, he could pass it now if he wanted. He thinks he knows everything. Its really annoying
