Another week in the lives of the Walker family, and even though this one seems to be a calmer week, calm doesn't even totally fall when it comes to this family. This week's episode, episode 13 of season 4, is titled Run, Baby, Run. Running would be the focus here, and it isn't the type you do in work out clothes. It is the political kind. One plans to stop running for election, and another decides they might just want to throw their hat into the ring. What is odd here they both live in the same house. Yes, Robert and Kitty seem to once again to be at odds. He decides to drop out of the senate election and return to the life of a normal private citizen, and Kitty ponders possibly running for Congress in the 54th district.
She has all but made up her mind when Robert decides to drop out for her, so she changes her mind on running too. At a Walker family dinner though, Robert overhears Kitty make an impassioned speech about running. However, she hadn't even mentioned it to Robert yet. He's at first angered, but once the two of them talk it out, he is the one actually pushing her towards running and going for it. He will help her every step of the way. Kitty has had dreams of politics for years, so there is no time like the present to jump into it. However, Nora is once again worried about her daughter with her just recovering from her cancer. This doesn't look like it will stop Kitty though.
As for that Walker family dinner? The location changed to Sarah's this week, but the drama was all in. Before the dinner even happens, things are heated. She is making friends with the father she met at the science fair, and he is invited. However, she thinks he won't show up because the two of them had a heated debate at a school meeting. They happened to be on opposite sides of an issue on school searches. She is against, and he is for them. After their debate, she thinks he won't even show for dinner, but he shocks her by doing just that. The family all seems to approve of him, and he doesn't seem to mind at all that their opinions seem to differ. He enjoys it. Could Sarah have found a good man for her after all? That will remain to be seen.
The other big issue this week is the on-going surrogacy business. Michelle is finally implanted with embryos, so now it is a wait to see if they take and she ends up pregnant. There are rules to follow, and Kevin is on edge as he tries to make sure all goes well. Too on edge. Michelle ends up at Sarah's because their is a gas leak at her home. Kevin is finally settled though, and the wait begins. Saul also has issues of his own. He feels at 70 his life is over, and he can't live out his dreams. Kitty's impassioned speech is for him, and she wakes him up and gets him out of mood that even has his fighting with Nora, which is something we don't see often. The next morning, he signs himself up for an older gay man online dating service. Maybe he can find love for himself after all. Things seem to be heating up again this week though with the return of Sarah's French man. Check out two scenes from tonight's episode below!
