When do Haitians stop being called "Africans" These are people from the Democratic Republic of Haiti and they would be very pissed off at being called "African" This would be a racial slur on the people of Haiti and their indigenous people.

So stick to the subject: It is proven any money given to the or "A" government in relief funding, only 20% actually gets to the people as all the rest is eaten up in Military mobilization, as they are all employee's of the state and in administration. If you give to the Red Cross the full $ goes directly to the relief effort in food and logistics as Red cross self funds administration continuously. And Relief money for each project is project tagged separately and left over monies end up in the rebuilding phase, well after the disaster is contained, by building schools and teachers and follow up health programs in counciling.

Give to the Red Cross or Doctors without Boarders some one like this,

I don't think his comments had anything anti African American in them , I think what he was saying has to do with the history of money sent to Washington already , that it never ends up where it's supposed to ...

You should read my article on "America has to be the worlds most Racist country." My great grand parents came to Australia in the holding cells of a ship. As did most of Australians from 1788 - 1860.

Eddie... stick to the article... Money donated to a Government Will be unaccountable and will be spent on projects totally unrelated to. Also read my article the Tsunami, you can see that over 2/3 of a Billion dollars is unaccounted for, Just in one country. All of this money was handled by Governments. All of this money was given by Hard Working taxpayers from other countries.

well Gary i guess i am your whipping post , i really just joined the discussion because i am interested in how we relate to one another , we as a nation has a lot of anger toward one another , and for the life of me it still puzzles me , no i didn't read your article Gary , i am sure if i had i would have been enlighten , because it seems you nitpick and go with statistics and all , i personally go with what is in my face you know up close and personal , you can call me any name you chose , i've been called all sorts of names in my 60 years of living . one thing though Gary , Black people no matter what continent they live on has been and will be abused by people who can talk really well and who keeps up with statistics , putting black people in categories of when this or that happens ,then this will occur , only you've forgotten Mr D to point out what money goes to who , one does get paid for work done or do you do it for free ? it's a lot of people down the chain line who gets paid for relief work or it wouldn't get done even the Red Cross Worker , well Gary in the real world Haiti needs help , how much have you helped ?

I have made my Donation, and I have collected and door Knocked. I was also wiped out in by Cyclone Larry in 2006 where I lost everything and was all but homeless.

Gary that must have been painful to go through , i remember seeing the damage that Cyclone Larry left behind and the many people that it affected in your country , i understand now why the passion Gary , and how you've witness first hand the suffering of the many , keep up the fight , be the voice of reason . pleased to share an opinion with everyone .

It would be much better if we simply ignore the outlandish comments of Rush Limbaugh. The allegations that we already donate enough aid to Haiti in taxes doesn't hold up – as foreign aid donations are actually a small fraction of the federal budget, amounting to little more than a few payday loans per nation receiving aid - though the US government is certainly able to muff things up. (Hurricane Katrina, anyone?) The White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs was certainly right to call him out – though he did try to recover by saying private aid donations were a better route to go.
