January 15, 2010 Annular Eclipse

This annular solar eclipse will be visible across Africa, the Indian Ocean, India, Sri Lanka, and south-east Asia. The annular phase runs from 05:13:54 UT, when the eclipse begins in the Central African Republic, to the end of the eclipse on the Chinese Yellow Sea coast at 08:59:01 UT. The maximum eclipse is at 07:06:31 UT, when the annular phase will last just over 11 minutes.

The partial eclipse will be visible over eastern Africa, south-east Europe, the Middle East, and south-east Asia between 04:05:26 UT and 10:07:33 UT.

Thanks for the info, Major! Even though I won't be seeing it, I'm looking forward to the photos of it from those in good positions to view it.

Hope we get some good photo coverage. I just can't make the trip to Sri Lanka this time!
