The right wing leadership speaks for it self, the Dark Side represented by; Tea Baggers, Fundamentalist Christians, Rush Lambaugh and Pat Roberson, all supporter and promoter of conservatisms, this is what is at your core, hatred. Nothing more, nothing less and the weak minded followers that subscribe to this nonsense. And they call them what you will, want to return back in power.

I watched a couple of those videos. Those folks got hit hard. Haven't heard of anything in the Dominican Republic. Wonder how they faired. Yes this will not hurt Obama. I wonder how many of our giant carriers are there or on the way. If our Military was where it belongs here in country we could help them a lot more. Maybe Obama will see that and ... nah. I don't much care for Limbaugh's remarks, tasteless. I never watch or listen to him, guess I know why.

If the Democrats try to make a big deal out of this in the way of political capital will they be any different from Limbaugh? This is humanitarian and an effort of every country.

My step daughter was there on missionary work with Church group from De Pauw University, Greencastle, IN. and flew out with her grup a few hours before the earthquake struck. What blessing to have her home safe. I was watching the TV and news report came on talking about Haiti, my god, Adrienne down there right now, but glad to say, she is home safe sound tonight.

R. F., thank's. Fear is the way they manipulate the weak minded, sober caution for sure, but this sky falling in scenario is to be question. I'm sure the right wing claims the same thing when it comes to environmental issues. But the out right hate of the liberal progressive cause to the point of calling for succession in outrageous.

Right winger, Rush has said in so many words, don't worry we already send our tax money there; Rush recent complain about President Obama's initial pledge of 100 million dollars for the Haitian relief. Dittos heads of the world unite. Their money has more meaning to some than the life of a follow human.

Blaming at this time is wasteful in the face of suffering; race, politics, religion conviction or national borders are meaningless, whether here or next door or overseas a thousands miles away.
Extending a helping hand in the wake of man made or natural disaster is what we as the human race can and will do for each other no matter how much we may rant or rave with each other in the Gather community.
And for that, I call you all, my brothers and sisters, just say'in.
