The Truth about Barbie!

According to Wikipedia, Barbie was born March 9, 1959. That makes her almost 51 years old. Contrary to popular renditions of her throughout the years right up to today (January 8, 2010), this is what Barbie actually looks like today!

Now, for all of you women out there who are jealous of Barbie's eternally young image, somewhat similar to Dick Clark's reign as the oldest teenager alive, one can only say:

It's about freaking time this happened to her!

 

But please note: Children should never be shown this picture!! Otherwise they are likely to start questioning the reality of the Easter Bunny, Santa Clause, and the Great Pumpkin as well. And we adults should take our responsibilities seriously in keeping the Adult Conspiracies alive and well for as long as possible!

Only in this way can we teach our children the true meaning of imagination. Uh, oh,... was that too serious for ya?  Okay, okay, I take it back.  Revised moral:  Only in this way can we keep the little buggers out of our hair as they play with their dolls, bunnies, sleighs, and vegetables.

And what is wrong with plus sized Barbie? this is a far better image than the the one she portrayed for years. After all, we are a plus sizedcountry. Is that a Whopper in her hand? Yum!

Matel is missing out on a great idea for another collectable Barbie --- "Grief Striken Barbie" ... she can be in black widows-weave along with hat with black vale and there could also be a casket where she could put anyone she was mad at in .... new game .... new game .... Oh my, I think I'm a sick person and it took KittyMommy2u W.'s remark to bring it out. LOL

Hia Gary...newboy here...Please excuse my ignorance but how has KC Klein put the alternative Barbie inside the conversation bubble because I would love to show you a couple of pictures I have had sent to me concerning favourite characters dealing with old age ha ha ha I think you may have to review your thoughts about Adults imagination though Gary we have gone from old fat Barbie visiting cemetrys while her ex Ken tickles his boss's backside with his goatee Chucky lurking about in the background looking for someone to chop up whilst poor old G.I.Joe has never been the same since Buzz Lightyear came on the scene...and now Spongebobs pants are Sagging...wow and thats all on one page ha ha ha Got to go and dig out my Dennis the Menace parafanailia..ha ha ha lol I feel a novel coming on ha ha lol

To insert a picture into a Gather comment:

That's a picture of a pheasant that I have in my own album of miscellaneous images here on Gather. In order to get the image web address, just go to the picture you want to display, right click the picture, and from the context menu that pops up, select "Copy image location". That copies the web address to the clipboard. And then you can just paste that address into the formula I gave you above.

Of course this assumes you are using a PC rather than a Mac. I have no idea how to do it on a Mac.
