The Biggest Loser returns tonight with it's "biggest" season ever. This time the theme is couples and they'll start their journey getting weighed in in front of their family and friends.
These 11 couples have a lot to prove and they've got whole towns full of supporters to help them achieve their goals.
Back at the ranch, Alison Sweeney will hand them their first challenge the minute they arrive. It's a bicycling competition and they have to rice 26.2 miles on stationary bikes, the same distance as the marathon that finalists ran at the end of the previous "Biggest Loser" season. But, says NBC, an even more shocking surprise twist will make the stakes higher than ever.
That would surely do me in, but these couples are determined to make it, so they take on their first week of workouts with trainers Bob Harper and Jillian Michaels and somebody will be going home.
The season premiere of "The Biggest Loser: Couples" officially kicks off the second year of the Pound For Pound Challenge. "The Biggest Loser" is partnering with General Mills, Feeding America, Subway and 24 Hour Fitness on this powerful initiative which allows viewers to help themselves get healthy while helping to fight hunger in their own communities. Go to www.biggestloser.com now and for every pound of weight loss pledged, a pound of groceries will be delivered to a local food bank.
Sounds like The Biggest Loser is off to another great start.
