Don't Give Up!

I have been having some recent health issues. I have been going back and forth to doctor appointments and have had a few procedures and lots of labs. It just seems that it is always something. One step forward and two steps back. I am growing weary of this dance. Today at my doctors I was disappointed with my recent lab results. As I stood at the reception desk booking yet another lab appointment and gathering scripts I almost began to cry. I was feeling frustration and defeat.

The receptionist booked my next appointment, glanced up at me and spoke these words " Don't give up " The timing of her words were right. I needed to hear them at that moment in my life. Have you ever had a incident as such?

On my car ride home I turned my I-Pod on random. The first song came on was a Beatles's song. The song was "Let It Be"

Sorry you are having medical problems, Donna. I hope everything rights itself sooner rather than later for you. I have a couple of chronic problems that keep me going to the doctor and it does get old. Some days you just need a hug. (((Donna)))

I was just thinking about you and wondering if there was something wrong. Hope everything gets better real soon. I am not sure of your health problems but worry and stress only seem to make these problems worse. May God bless you and things get better real soon.

My doctor does call me his "Problem Child" his nurses tell me the only time he laughs is when he is reading my lab results. My doctor has used my history to share at symposiums .

The only thing I really hate about life is getting old and ill, they appear to be tied together and I want to stop the progression now.

Thank you Barbara. I think I am going to have to stop taking vacations. Every time I take a vacation it seems like I end up in hospital or visiting doctors. Things that make you go hmmmmmmm

...you are a sweeety! here you are all in the midst of tests and worries and you're giving everybody the message to look up and don't give up! When we have health problems, it feels like we're caught up in some kind of vortex and we'll never land. Eventually things settle down and we do land if we hang in there. I say keep hanging in there and don't give up and eventually you will land. Big hugs to you and all the very best!

Being accident prone, I've had surgeries since I was 8 yrs old. My first one was due to the fact that I broke my back. My last one was when I had my total hysterectomy. Giving up was a thought after my last surgery because it was so painful, but, thinking of my daughter and husband quickly made the thought disappear.

So sorry that you're going through this, Donna. My prayers are with you and your family.
