Disappointment and gift cards

For a little over a month and a half I have been on two other sites trying to earn gift cards. One of them (GSN) I was fortunate to earn enough for one gift card, which helped with Christmas. I have since earned enough, about 2 weeks ago for a second card. But, I never find the cards stocked. So I keep playing in hopes I will soon be able to cash out. In the meantime I have been playing on another site (video Squares), and have been drawing closer to my goal for a $25.00 GC. So I decided to check to see if they are keeping there cards stocked tonight. Well it seems they are, but when I noticed the point redemption, had increased, I was so disappointed. Before when I started, I needed 107,500 points to redeem a $25 gc, now it's 302,632! Thats an increase of 195,132.

Here I was trying with what little time I have in the first place, to earn, and find my time, all but wasted. Of course I could continue, and hope the cards are soon stocked by GSN, or continue for what will most likely be a few more months, to earn enough on Video Squares. Just the same I'm so very dissapointed. I even took time away from much of my Gathering to earn these cards.

I haven't decided, wheather to seek another site, or continue on with these. I have put a lot of time and effort into them. So I don't know. All I know is I'm disappointed. I heard alot of people here on Gather have been waiting for quite a spell to recieve cards too. Seem like alot of these sites are becoming a waste.

What site is video squares, and what do you have to do the get points?

Video squares is a game site. You play,you earn points. I oringinally started with playing the slots, then, discovered I could make points faster playing BlackJack. All games are not casino games. I just happen to enjoy those more. The site does have a wide selection, of gift cards, as well as other items. Which is what appealed to me. But with this point increase, thats alot of time, to earn a gc. But I already have the ball rolling. I may just not spend as much time on it as I did.

I dont do Video squares. but i do GSN, they usually stock the cards on tuesdays:) Or at least that seems to be the day that i catch them stocked and able to grab one:)
I like GSN thier cards come with in 7 days of requesting them:)

Thanks for the tip! It seems the first one I ordered, now that I think of it, was on a tuesday. And yes they do come rather quickly once ordered. I must not of checked last Tues, or I missed them. I have been checking as frequently as I can, for two weeks now, and was getting rather frustrated. Thanks again!

i put in here for $25 on dec.11th and got the money after christmas so that didn't help

That about the normal amount of time for Gather gift cards. And you have to keep in mind many others have been doing the same, trying to get gc, for Christmas. So I'm sure they had more orders than usual.

video squares usually come pretty quickly also. Although I cashed out a week before Christmas and it doesn't say shipped yet. I will continue to do videp squares, just not as ofter. I might as well get points and work towards a reward, when I feel like playing a few games. GSN seems to restock on Tues. and Fridays. I just leave the page up and keep refreshing throughout the day. I have gotten 2 in December that way.

I will be checking each day as I have pretty much been. I'm sure there were a few days I didn't because of being so wrapped up and busy with holiday shopping and the like. I may have missed when they did restock. I will take more notice on those particular days. Thanks for the insight, Teresa.

I have stopped trying to earn gift cards or cash. Takes too much time, and too long to earn them.

This year was difficult. My wife had to go to Japan for 10 days in November to help her 86 year old Mother, then had to return to Japan on Christmas Day to help finish things needed to be done for her Mother. We sent our son to Japan January 2 to help my wife's Mother. In December we had to get a new water heater and a new roof. We gave each other very few presents this year. I was going to join a gym, but I got a traffic ticket for 5 miles over in a disgusting speed trap, so I'll see a judge and hope he has mercy. I hadn't had a ticket since I was 19. The ticket is $150. If I have to pay, no gym. I feel great resentment towards being trapped like this. The Police are suppose to Protect and Serve, not trick and burn.

Sounds like last year for me, and so far this year has been no winner either. I understand about the ticket. I got one the first year I moved here, just before Christmas. That killed the spirit for me! With my son's help (bless his heart) I was able to get that ticket (which I felt was unjustly given in the first place) downgraded to faulty equipment charge, with no points and I think a $29 or something, fine. Even that amount hurt. I was living alone and barely eating at the time as it was.
Trust me when I say I know hardships. I been getting whalloped left and right and the beat goes on. But I try to keep my wits about me as much as I can, even though, I feel like this is the end of my rope, and I can't take anymore.
I hope things will fair better soon for you. It seems the people with the most kindered heart get all the crap in life at times. But for me, I'll keep my respect and heart, even if I have to endure one headace after another. Pride is mine and no one can have it!
