I got two movies in from Netflix this past week. The first one I saw was Paranormal Acitivity. It was shot in kind of the same documentary vein as The Blair Witch Project although I never saw The Blair Witch Project. I never even wanted to.
I didn't know what level of "scare" I'd feel because some people said it was scary and some people told me they didn't see the big deal. After I had watched it I found myself wondering what the big deal was. And then I went to bed. And for the first time in over 2 decades I thought about sleeping with the lights on. So maybe it did affect me. Serial killers don't scare me, but throw up a demonic possession and apparently that gives me the willies. And FYI, I didn't leave the lights on. lol
As for The Proposal...I kept waiting for someone in the movie to reference the age difference between Sandra Bullock's character and Ryan Reynolds' character. In real life they are about 12 years apart. And on film, it is obvious there is an age difference. On the other hand, the last thing I would want to hear is a reference to Sandra's character being a cougar. I like the movie. Best scene to me was Betty White and Sandra Bullock's impromptu "dances" in the woods. To me, this was Sandra Bullock's best romantic comedy since While You Were Sleeping back in 1995.
