So you couldn't make it to New York City to see the ball drop in Times Square New Year 2010? That's ok, because there's plenty of television coverage of the event to enjoy without worrying about crowd control and getting crushed while trying to count down to the new year. ABC will present Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve for its 38th straight year, which has become a tradition amongst many households across the country, synonomous with the ball dropping to ring in the new year.
"Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve" will be hosted by Dick Clark and Ryan Seacrest in the heart of New York City, Times Square. Their specials will begin at 10 PM EST on ABC (with interruptions for local news programs). Included in the lineup of performers will be The Black Eyed Peas, Selena Gomez, Justin Bieber, Keri Hilson, Colbie Caillat and Robin Thicke. Daughtry will also be on hand to perform four songs while Jennifer Lopez will sing several of her hit songs right before the ball drops in Times Square. This will be a three-part special with the first part happening between 10 PM and 11 PM EST. Part two will start back up after local news at 11:30 PM until 1:05 AM to cover Dick Clark's countdown to the New Year. The third part will feature Black Eyed Peas' band member and singer Fergie hosting a Las Vegas edition of New Year's Eve. So this will make for one exciting bi-coastal coverage of our transition from 2009 into 2010!
If you prefer other coverage NBC, Fox, CNN and Fox News will be among the others covering New Year's Eve. Fox will present "Billboard's New Year's Live" hosted by Carmen Electra from 11pm to 12:30am. Bill Hemmer and Megyn Kelly of Fox News will host "All American New Year" also starting at 11 on Fox News channel. NBC will have "New Year's Eve with Carson Daly" froem 10:00 to 11:00 PM EST and then from 11:30 pm on. And finally, CNN will have "New Year's Eve Live" hosted by Anderson Cooper and Kathy Griffin, also beginning at 11PM EST.
Enjoy tonight's festivities whether you wants the ball drop in Times Square for New Years Eve 2010 or see it from the comfort of your own home. Happy New Year 2010 to all!

We thought about Going ot Havre de Grace for the 'duck drop' but its not worth 15 minutes of fireworks, 1 minute of duck drop and complaining kids, if the weather was nicer, yes, but its been snowing and raining all day and side streets will be a mess.
