starring Morgan Freeman and Matt Damon
The movie was predictable... if it hadn't ended the way it did, there wouldn't have even BEEN a movie.
There wasn't much story - hence there was most of a rugby game shown - and I know just as much about rugby now as I did before I saw the movie (maybe a little more).
I was amazed that Nelson Mandela was released from prison in 1990 and by 1994 was president of the country! The movie seems to make the transition from Apartheid (in South Africa) to integration a seamless, smooth change. I am SURE there was a LOT more to it than that.
Morgan Freeman is amazing!!!! The film was moving and you don't have to understand rugby to enjoy it.
The title is from a poem that Mandela used to repeat to himself when in prison. I didn't think I'd ever heard it, but some lines were very familiar.
This is a good movie, but rentable.

Congratulations!
I agree....Morgan Freeman was perfect in this role. I always enjoy his movies. Matt Damon did a great job, too. He nailed the SA dialect perfectly.
I loved the message of this movie. It's a message that everyone around the world should embrace.
