There was a castle, glass slippers and more fairy tale features
when Kevin Jonas married Danielle Deleasa on December 19,
according to People magazine, which just published photos and
details of the event.
I knew that my princess needed her glass slippers and her castle,"
Jonas told People of the nuptials that took place in Oheka
Castle in Huntington, NY.
People reported that despite a blizzard blanketing the roads
around the castle, the wedding went smoothly. The bride, a
former hairdresser, walked down the aisle with her father Thomas
"Bucky" Deleasa, as the song "Bella Notte," from the film “Lady
and the Tramp,†was played on guitar.
"I'm an Italian girl. It just fit me and my dad," the new Mrs.
Jonas, 22, told People.
The groom's father Kevin Jonas Sr., an ordained minister,
officiated along with Danielle's childhood pastor, Rev. Ron
DePasquale Jr., according to People. The wedding bands the two
exchanged were designed for one another, according to People.
The details of the wedding were a closely guarded secret. One of
the few hints prior to the ceremony came from Nick Jonas,
Kevin's brother, who said he and brother Joe would serve as best
men.
"Well, Joe and I are the best men and so, yes, we definitely have
to help. [Kevin] really enjoys the planning. He's enjoying it and
I'm happy for him," Nick Jonas told MTV.
The Jonas Brothers, who got their start in music on the Disney
Channel, are known for their pure images. The brothers are
reportedly Evangelical Christmas who vowed to abstain from
premarital sex. They also abstain from alcohol and drugs. Each
brother wears a purity ring, which Joe said publicly, symbolize
"a promise to ourselves and to God that we'll stay pure till
marriage."
