Stop the Slaughter of OUR Wild Horses!

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and the State of Nevada are at it again.Â Just a few months ago, they were preparing to slaughter hundreds of our wild horses, which they are keeping in small pens in the desert heat with little water and no shade, claiming that they have run out of money to feed them!

That, after rounding them up because they claim that there is not enough food for the horses on the free range.

OUR wild horses should be left to roam free on OUR public lands, but certain private ranchers need that grazing land for their cattle! They can lease OUR public land at bargain prices, if we round up the wild horses that belong there.

The BLM is starting another roundup, this time in the middle of winter, on land that in covered in snow!Â They plan to drive frightened wild horses over miles of treacherous territory, to make room for more cattle!

This is an outrage!

I'm in the middle of it here and yes, it's sickening. I remember so many wild horses running free and if you've never seen a mustang out in the wild, it's something to see - my heart goes out to them and I think many of us are doing all we can. Thank you for this post. We need to keep the attention on this situation. Salud
