The Weatherman Said, "Light Snow"

Usually the weather people are at least partially right but today they said that there would be light snow today. We drove to an IMax movie theater today to see the movie Avatar. The theater is normally about 45 minutes away. The drive there was snowy but not too bad. When we got out of the nearly 3 hour movie it was still snowing and snowing hard. I would say there was probably 3 inches on top of our car.

The ride home was aweful. It snowed constantly and they closed down the main road that leads to our house due to a huge accident so we had to drive to turn off and drive out of our way for about 5 miles to continue driving home. Normally that would have taken about 10 minutes to go that route, but it took about 30 minutes longer. So it took us nearly 2 hours to get home.

When we got home there was about 6 inches of snow on our driveway.

Well, the snow part was right at least. It is shaping up to be some winter.

Please don't send the snow our way. We don't want it. Going to a movie sounds like a good idea though. I'll have to check what's on at the theaters here.

I remember when I lived in NY one year and they said we where going to get flurries. We ended up with a blizzard. Never can predict which way the winds will blow the storm clouds sometimes.

I hope the snow slows down. I am cold it is in 50 F here in Florida. I have never seen it get so cold this time of year. I am sorry the weatherman was wrong.
