Sister Update

Ginny went to her cardiologist today and was told they believe she is having panic attacks. That is why she feels dizzy and almost passes out?

Seems that as Ginny has chest pains her body continually puts out adrenaline causing the dizziness and so on. They claim her pacemaker is working fine. She just started on a new medication.

My feeling is that they may have a point there as Ginny tends to take on all the weight of being responsible for Mom. I had to back off because it created so much tension in the family.

Ginny is also very out there from a political/world view. She gets upset when she watches the news and makes comments the whole time. We can't have a resonable discussion because she doesn't listen. Just keeps spouting her opinion without considering anything else. Yes, it concerns me.

Didn't say this would be good information, but this is the latest. This is all I know and I said that I would provide an update when I knew anything.

Thanks for updating on Ginny, Elizabeth. Hopefully they can get the panic attacks controlled a bit so her system isn't stressed. I have panic attacks driving at times, but never any other time that i know of.

I know all about panic attacks!!! They are very real and can be very crippling! I have been in therapy for mine and other mental disorders for years!

Those can be soooooo__ scary and most folks do believe it is their heart. I am pleased to hear she is not in danger!

I have a friend who regularly has panic attacks (normally while driving) and I absolutely cannot understand what she is going through. I'm in the same situation here and can commisurate with you, but can offer no help in any way.

Thank you, Len, for caring. We just have to be patient and hop her cardiologist knows what he is doing. I would say that having a panic attack while driving would be a scary experience.

she might need to see other doctors other than a cardiologist.... but it is quite usual that a cardiologist would be the first doctor that one sees...
