Almost all the photos I upload are my daughter's. There are several good reasons for this. When she attended college, she took a couple of semesters of photography and knows how to take good photos. Some of her shots are so professional looking my mother thought she'd cut them from magazines to put into her scrapbook.
Her junior year of college she spent a semester in Birmingham, England. Her classes were scheduled only on Tues/Wed/Thur, leaving her long weekends to travel. She took advantage of it, traveling England, Scotland and visiting some friends from college in Amsterdam. During their 3 week break she visited Germany, Italy, Spain and Switzerland, getting "museumed out."
Since graduation, she takes at least one trip a year to England and Amsterdam to keep up with her friends. She's taken vacations in Germany, India and Venice.
Her job in 2008 had her working in Paris for 2-3 weeks at a time, coming home for a week or two and going back. She made 13 trips to Paris, so she had plenty of time to see the sights in France plus pop over to England, Amsterdam and Germany to visit her college friends. Most of the photos she's supplied me are from 2008.
She fell in love with Venice, since she adores glass. It's always been Rome as a favorite place, but now Venice is number one when she has money to spend.
I wish I knew more about the places she's visited. I love the castles and architecture. I was amazed at the tall buildings right at the water in Venice. I could probably spend a week in the Louvre. Her father and I have to just live through her photos.
She sends at least 150 each trip, so I'm sure I'll be posting many more in 2010. Some good ones I'm waiting until I can get a better explanation. She labeled one batch "Venice, Paris, London." There are several buildings I don't want to put in the wrong country.
