In what continues to be one of the saddest stories of the holidays, the autopsy results for actress Brittany Murphy have been completed but the coroner has not yet determined the cause of death because they are still waiting for the toxicology results. Apparently, Brittany Murphy had been prescribed a variety of drugs that could have led to an overdose or adverse reactions. Prescriptions found in her home included: Fluoxetine for depression, Topamax for migraines and seizures, the anti-inflammatory Metylprednisolone, Carbamazepine for Diabetes and bipolar disorder, Ativan for anxiety, Vicoprofen for pain, Propranolol for hypertension and heart attack prevention, Klonopin for anxiety, Biaxin an antibiotic, Hydrocodone for pain and various vitamins. It has also been reported that she had a history of hypoglycemia for which she was actually hospitalized back in April while shooting on location in Oregon. While her name was on some of the bottles, it appears that some include the names of her husband, her mother, and "other third parties".
The coroner will declare a cause of death in about 4 to 6 weeks after the tests come back.
