Thank you, Haim. It has been a while since I have written, and the topic came from a friend who was trying to inspire me. The form is from the Mindful Poetry group. Between the 2, something creative!

Very nicely done! Luc bat - ya learn something every day - I did not know about this form. I had to look it up on wikipedia:

Lục bát is a traditional Vietnamese verse form that is deeply tied to the soul of Vietnamese culture and people. "Lục bát" is Sino-Vietnamese for "six eight", referring to the alternating lines of six and eight syllables. It will always begin with a six-syllable line and end with an eight-syllable one.

Thank you for the education and a great example of this kind of poetry!

Thank you, John. I noticed that as well. I tried a different tactic which was ... make the lines 6 syllables, and just add an extra 2 every other line. Well, that may be a BIT simple, but more or less. Anyway, I think it does flow better than my first attempt.
