Portman to star in Pride and Prejudice and Zombies.

Natalie Portman will star in a film version of the recent cult novel "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies" which has been reviewed here on Gather for those who are interested.

Jane Austen, author of the original novel, "Pride and Prejudice", is probably spinning in her grave now. Good thing that she is dead, as opposed to undead. Actually, Jane Austen had a sense of humor. She might be okay with this.

Hmmmm...just watched the BBC made for TV movie, Lost in Austen this weekend. It was fun, but could not come close to Jane Austen. And I suppose it wasn't really trying. The director said that he wanted to make Austen interesting for the younger generation - get them hooked on her novels. Perhaps this movie will do the same.

This book was WONDERFUL! I had so much fun reading it. I think Jane Austin would have liked it. She had a wicked sense of humor.

I have mixed emotions. I just read the book and enjoyed it. I think the book club discussion question section at the end was marvelous.

I haven't read the book yet, but I'm planning on reading it at some point. It sounds...interesting, though I don't think it could ever top the original
