Another racially-oriented comment by Glenn Beck?

Listen to the radio address and the comments afterwards. In his radio program, Beck compares Tiger Woods to O.J. Simpson. Both are black atheletes who dated and married white women. Beck insinuates that Woods' mother-in-law possibly met with violence.

To me, his comments draw a clear line to other racist comments he has made. Your thoughts?

He's over the hill. His ratings are going down, but he will probably survive. There are a percentage of right wingnuts in this country that will always make money for their TV commercial supporters. McCarthyism, Cheneyism, Roviism, are nothing new. It's inherent in the human condition. People will always respond to fear, real or imagined. "There's a sucker born every minute."

He is horrible! I saw a bit of him on Barbara Walters Special last night, luckiny recorded, so I just fast forwarded though him after he started to irritate me, "hello" did that!
of course he is a racist! Tiger's mother-in-law had a grumbling appendix!

how is he a racist? Tiger Woods is black as well as OJ Simpson. Is mentioning the word "Black" a racist comment?

It was a racist comment because it made a definite correlation between race and violence. Especially, when in the case of Tiger there was no violence involved. Beck made Tiger violent due to his racial background by attaching his name to O.J.'s.

Tiger was stupid in his actions but certainly not violent. If he had attached his name to a WASP wife killer race would not be the connecting factor and such a comment would be dumb but not racist. No, Beck was specifically racial.

Catherine, that as quite well put. Odd how racists will cringe at that word just like being caught in bed with a stranger and having the covers pulled off right in the middle of ...well you know. Guilt is easy to recognize.

One man has nothing to do with the other. For him to mention both in the same sentence for no other reason to than to highlight that they are both black is the very definition of a racist view.

They know what they're saying. They also know that their groupies lack critical thinking skills and believe everything they say. I don't even have to listen to Beck. He has a "parrot" at my work. This way I can hear the stupid things he says in the exact way he says it.
