Barbara Walters' 10 Most Fascinating People of...

Last night Barbara Walters revealed her 10 Most Fascinating People list for 2009, who were as follows:

Adam Lambert
Brett Favre
Glenn Beck
Jenny Sanford
Kate Gosselin
Lady Gaga
Michael Jackson’s kids
Michelle Obama
Sarah Palin
Tyler Perry

The list was a bit of a snoozer. In my opinion, Adam Lambert, Lady Gaga and Michelle Obama were the only deserving ones of this title. Here's why the others shouldn't have made the cut:

Brett Farve is old news
Gleen Beck doesn't deserve anymore attention than he's getting
Most people don't know who Jenny Sanford is
Kate Gosselin is annoying
Michael Jackson's kids should be left alone
Sarah Palin was soooo last year
Tyler Perry is overrated

Whether or not you're a fan, you have to admit that Michael Jackson should have made the list. Mark Zuckerberg of Facebook surely deserved it too (or at least another techie.) Who do you think deserves to be on Barbara Walter's list of the "10 Most Fascinating People of 2009".

I agree. She could have picked a LOT better people. "Fascinating" doesn't have to be good. I think she should have gone and interviewed Amanda Knox in prison or something. THat would have been MUCH better than Kate Gosselin, at least.

I have to admit, I think Carrie Prejean would have made a good choice for the list. Like you said, "fascinating" doesn't have to be good, or likable.

I agree, most of them did not deserve the press time. I missed this and I guess it was just as well. I only think two or three should have been on there.

I agree with the four that you mentioned. I would add Taylor Swift to the list for sure. Also the three stars of New Moon, even though I have no interest in seeing the movie. Not sure about Britney, probably not. Definitely Susan Boyle, though. I need a tenth...I can see Brett Farve as #10. #1 for me has to be Taylor Swift - what a year!!
