Why should you consider a life style free from sugar? Sugar and foods that act like sugar in your digestive tract are the biggest health tragedies of our lifetime. Not only should you consider a life style free from sugar, but one free from high, non fibrous carbohydrates, too.Â
Â
Some of the major health risks you face from your regular diet are heart disease, complications from obesity, cancer or diabetes. Did you ever consider that sugar has something to do with every one of these. That’s why you should consider a life style free from sugar and foods that act like sugar.
Â
If someone followed you around with a gun and shot a small piece off your anatomy every day for ten years, eventually, he would kill you. However, the first time you noticed someone following you with a gun, you’d call the police.
Â
The above is a terrible illustration, but your diet of sugar and foods that act like sugar are killing you just as surely as someone with a gun shooting off a small piece of your body everyday. The difference would be that you’d notice if someone shot you. You don’t notice the slow death that sugar causes you. It is so slow and with so little pain until the big heart attack or the end results of cancer or a stroke comes.
Â
Did you know that Alzheimer’s can be linked to your diet? We’ve come to think of it and other chronic health diseases as normal. But that is furthest from the truth. You might never have to contend with any of these diseases if you made a quality decision to change your food addictions, today.
Â
You may find this hard to believe, but at one point in history, Doctors considered cigarettes good for you? It’s true! So too did the “experts†think about sugar at one time. Today, the cigarette companies must put labels on the packages warning people of the dangers. Would that were true about sugar!
Â
Because sugar and carbohydrates that are turned to sugar in your GI tract are as harmful and addictive as cigarettes are—maybe more so! So why shouldn’t all products with sugar or foods that make sugar in your GI tract be labeled “harmful to your health?â€
Â
Sugar is equally as addictive and harmful to your health as tobacco is. It just takes longer to kill you. However, the insurance companies haven’t gotten onto the sugar companies and made them label their products.
Â
The purpose isn’t to build a case for tobacco products. You shouldn’t smoke, but you don’t need to eat so much sugar, either.

Â
So make a quality decision to stop eating sugar and processed foods for 30 days. Within a few days of begining your new eating habits, you will lose your craving for sweets. You need to keep a food journal, too. In this journal you will list every bite of food you put in your mouth. The journal will help you keep track of your success. Cut your sugar intake to ten (10) to fifteen (15) teaspoons per day. Cut your caloric intake to: men, 1500 to 1600 per day; women, 1000 to 1200 calories per day. You will loose weight, you will lose inches and you will feel better!
Â
I'll post more about a sugar free life style in a few days.
