Patriots vs Saints is tonight’s match-up for NFL Picks Week 12 Monday Night Football. Even if this game ends with a score of 3-0, it will be the most talked about game since the New England Patriots played the Indianapolis Colts two weeks ago.
The first focus should be on the New Orleans Saints who after 10 games this season bring an undefeated record to the table. Many pundits feel that, at best, the Saints are the third best team in the league – behind the aforementioned teams. Though the Saints are 7-3 ATS, sport a +16.7 point differential and 5 wins with 20-plus difference, they have given up 20+ points in 7 games this season. They have fallen behind in a few games and two of the teams they had the most trouble with were AFC East teams just as the Patriots are.
On the other side of the ledger the Patriots are 7-3 and 5-4-1 ATS. Since Week 6, they have scored 27 or more points – a sign that All-Pro Quarterback Tom Brady is fully recovered from last season's knee surgery. They have given up 20+ points only 4 times this season.
The Saints score 36.9 points a game but the Patriots gave up over 30 points once, in a game they technically had won and that was to the Indianapolis Colts.
The Patriots failed to stop the Colts from going unbeaten and now leave that task to other teams. I doubt they risk leaving another opportunity - this time against the Saints - on the table.
