Even Money’s NFL PICKS Week 12 – Texans, Colts: Stampede or Two-Step?

Texans vs Colts is my marquee match-up for NFL Picks Week 12. In 10 games this season, the Indianapolis Colts have been the favorites 9 times. They are 6-4 Against The Spread (ATS) with one win as an underdog against the Cardinals.

The Colts are undefeated this season but they have not been dominant. Though they carry a +11.2 point differential into this week’s contest, the numbers are skewed by their early season blowouts (Cardinals, Titans and Rams). They have won by an average of 2 points in their recent games – one of which was against the Houston Texans.

Since this is a divisional game and the Texans still have slim playoffs hopes, expect a grind out battle. This season has been a seesaw for the Texans. They are 6-4 ATS; 3-3 as Favorites; 3-1 has Underdogs. The Texans have lost their last 2 games (by 3 points) after riding a three-game winning streak, and they have not been strong at home.

This is a chance for either team to put its stamp on this season. For the Texans, it keeps them striving for 9 or 10 wins. For the Colts, a win moves them closer to the history books with an undefeated season.

• Colts, Under – Texans home play is cause for concern.
• Browns, Over – Blowouts are not the norm for the Bengals.
• Vikings, Over – Six of nine wins by double-digits.
• Eagles, Under – At home against a weaker opponent – they usually thrive.
• Dolphins, Under – Bills are easily this season’s most disappointing team.
• Cardinals, Over – Titans recent surge have been against questionable opponents.
• Seahawks, Under – The points concern me but it’s hard to go “over” when two bad teams play.
• Falcons, Under – No way Falcons let this one become a real game.
• Jets, Over – Stop slide but really a toss-up pick.
• Jaguars, Over – Jags have something to play for, and have won 3 of last 4.
• Chiefs, Over – Chargers love blowing out teams in their division but Chiefs up for the challenge this time.
• Ravens, Under – Steelers’ injury concerns, and Ravens have only lost to “top teams”.
