Cowboys vs Raiders is my marquee match-up for Thanksgiving Thursday’s NFL Picks. In 10 games this season, the Dallas Cowboys have been the favorites 9 times. They are 5-5 Against The Spread (ATS) with one win as an underdog to the Eagles.
The Cowboys have a four game home winning streak including an average point differential of 16 in the first three of those games. Yet, this is not the time to get fancy and think just because it is a cross-country trek for the Oakland Raiders on a short week that the Cowboys will cover 13.5 points. The Cowboys have struggled against NFC East and AFC West teams this season, while the Raiders have been an enigma.
The Raiders have been the underdog in all but one of their 10 games – a loss to the Chiefs. For the Raiders, in 7 out of 10 games, the winning team scored 24 points or less. In the other 3 games, the Raiders lost by an average of nearly 33 points. Overall, they too are 5-5 ATS.
The past 3 games both teams have been in closely-contested, low scoring affairs.
NFL PICKS WEEK 12 Thursday Games:
• Raiders, Under – Truly depends on which version of the teams shows up.
• Packers, Over – Lots of scoring; a blowout if Aaron Rodgers limits his sacks.
• Giants, Over – Secondary is still shaky but the offense should get a fast start.
Let’s discuss your picks and/or how you see these match-ups.
