I think the timing was perfect, as we all know people put on weight during the holidays. Its a time of overeating and regretting it in January. I speak from experience, as last January I decided it was time to do something about my weight problem.
In this episode we hear its not to late to lose weight and I certainly agree. Yes at my age it wasn't easy and I see temptations every day that must be avoided. Many of these foods my husband eats and he can, as they don't cause him to gain any weight.
There have been 8 seasons and tonight we see many people that had been on the show. Each person saw the doctor first and I know that was good. We start with Jerry, who was very sick and only 51, but internally over 70. Start weight 380 now 262. He really looks great.
Mallory was 217 now a trainer at a gym.
Pete start 401 now 238 and teaches 10 week classes helping others lose weight.
Drea has a new career teaches women fitness and Curis Stone tells us to give ourselves replacement food. I certainly have done that, as I use to eat french fries and now have a baked potato.
Mark and Jay brothers from season 5.Mark is 185 and Jay is 207 now.
Matt and Suzy are married and have 2 children. Matt 339 to 237 and Suzy 227 to 175.
Season 7 Nicole 269 to 155 and Damien 381 to 253 are now married. they are fitness instructors at 24 Hour Fitness.
Season 4 Nicole has lost over 100 pounds and kept it off.
Jerry started 369 now 193. Won at home season 7. He has been off medication for 6 months and says its never to late.
Ron 430 now 251 and Mike 388 now 230. Mike is now a student at Michigan State University. We see Jillian, who isn't happy about all the food. I think its important to remember that just because there is a lot of food it doesn't mean we have to eat it. Mike stated that he would eat the healthier foods there. His brother Max has lost 105 pounds. Family lost 575 pounds.
Tara season 7 294 now 165. Health Fair and run with almost 500 people.
Jaron 323 now 20 doing iron man triathlon 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike ride and 26.2 mile run finished in 12:56:09. Matt did it when quite heavy didn't quite finish in time, but it sure was amazing.
Julie season 4 218 to 128. She tells us "I don't have the time is an excuse not a reality." She works out 1 to 1.5 hours 5 to 6 days a week. She says to get involved in your child's lunch. They adopted Jackson.
Vicky season 6 246 to 150 says keep your mouth shut to future contestants. Nolonger eats donuts.
Filipe 364 now 242 and Sione 372 now 239. They eat salads and fruit now and said to help tradition and have exercise classes for the people.
Dan 310 now 194 and Jackie 246 now 160. Dan sings country music and has a tour bus,so living his dream.
Michelle won season 6 working to get a bill passed in Texas for physical education.
Ali 234 now 125 Bette Sue 261 now 160
Twins Bill 334 now 209 and Jim 361 now 223 certified spinning instructors
Bernie winner at home season 5. 283 now 160 wrote book for children to be active.
Carla 379 now 251 and Renee 267 now 175 did half a marathon with Helen season 7, Amy, Shellay, Pete, Damien, Nicole, and Coleen. A chef was making meals that were under 600 calories. Jilian shows up and is thrilled athow well they all are doing.
Phil season 6 331 to 195and wife Amy 229 now 137
David 368 now 224 trains people to lose weight.
Neil season 4 421 now 228. He is now married and Bob was at the wedding.
Now the sad news that Erik has gained over 175 pounds and really has looked at weight loss the wrong way. He is a food addict and needs to live day to day. We see Bob and Erik at the gym. Erik is invited back for weigh in at the end of this season. I sure hope he is on the right path now.
Many of them really look amazing and I'm very impressed. They clearly learned how to eat and how important exercise is in our lives.
