You have all read my story about losing weight and the struggle to eat correctly. There is no question that there is so much food that looks tasty that its a battle almost every day. Its not just a challenge because of the ads on television, but friends love to offer me treats and think nothing is wrong with a taste. We all know a taste of something good and you want to eat lots of it.
Tonight the people talked about their lives at home and I can understand their concern that working and taking care of your family can cause you to put others first and I understand exactly what Liz stated. The only differences between her and me is I'm not from the south and I don't have any grandchildren.
We meet Suze Orman on the show and Total Cereal and Multi Grain Cheerios are mentioned. I know all about the Cheerios, as the gym had lots of sample boxes and I ate them lots of days. Also coupons are sitting out for everyone to take them.
Each person is to stand on a treadmill and answer questions and if you miss then the treadmill gets 1 level faster and higher.
For every question they get right, $1,000 will be deposited into an account at TD Ameritrade.
Research shows that obese employees earn less money than their fellow workers. On average, how much less do they make?
$7,000. Everybody is right.
If a family of four swapped one meal at a restaurant for one meal at home every day for a year, how much money would they save?
$8,760. Rudy, Danny, Allen, and Liz are correct. Amanda is incorrect.

$4.4 billion. Allen is the only one correct. 220,000 people get the surgery each year at a cost of approximately $20,000 each.

$147 billion. Everybody is right.
How much money will you save over 40 years by going from obese to an ideal weight? $1 million Everyone but Allen is right.
Next the challenge is at a football field and we meet Rod Woodson, who played professional football. He played in the pro bowl 11 times. The must put the weight they lost each week on stands and the winner gets 2 tickets for the 2010 NFL Pro Bowl. Also $5000 for athletic equipment to any school. Allen wins and selects his daughters school. She attends St Peters Lutherin School.
We learn 1 in 3 children are obese and children should do some kind of physical activity every day for 60 minutes.
The weigh in winner will receive help from Curtis Stone, as he will go to their house to teach them how to cook healthy meals.

With that, Danny has set a new record, losing in the double digits seven weeks in a row.

At the end Allen tells us he lost 95 pounds and is now 220. He is motivating others to lose weight and 275 people at his gym have lost 2368 pounds in 6 weeks. My mouth dropped to say the least.
