There's no law against it yet in Florida, but I think there should be.

So is there a law in your state, and do you text while driving?

No law but I absoluttely do NOT text while driving and I use a handsfree for my phone while driving.

I really don't even know how to text . I'm luck to have figured out "most" of the functions on my microwave-lol

I think there is a law in NJ for that. I don't drive but my husband does. He does not text while driving. You aren't even allowed to talk on the phone, hand-held, and drive at the same time. You can if you have a bluetooth or some other hands-free phone. I think both should be outlawed. It is so dangerous.

I don't text period. If it's extra charges I skip it. I have no idea if it's a law here in WI but neither of us text so it really doesn't affect us either way.

There is a law against it, but it should be common sense not to do it while driving anyway.

Texting and Talking on a phone is illegal in New York. It has been for a long time. I've almost been run off the road by someone on a cell phone and almost hit by them several times. You can't drive down the road and not see someone talking on a phone and driving. It's extreamly dangerous and yet so many people don't think anything of it. Not even in a state that it's illegal in.

Absolutely not. It's illegal here in West Virginia but it's stupid all over the world. A young girl in this area hit a coal truck head on because she was texting while driving. She survived the accident, thank God, but it could have been worse.

No, I don't. Its illegal to even talk on a cell phone while driving here in NY. I have a hands-free, and only use when I rarely answer my phone will driving...it takes all of my concentration to drive around here, people drive like they are the only ones on the road. When I do text, I need to use reading glasses, I wouldn't dare wear them when trying to see any further than 12 inches in front of me.

Nope .. no way would I NEVER text and drive.. they are trying to pass a law saying its illegal as a second offense!

I am not even good at texting, and when I do text, it takes both my hands, my eyes and my mind, so where would I be if I was doing that and drive.........it should be illegal, but it isn't here in Samoa.

I'm from Florida and Pennsylvania, now in Georgia. I have a fit when I see someone talking on the phone or reading the newspaper, let alone texting!
