New Baby

We have a new baby in our family! Meet Tessie. Fenway has a sister. We knew that we had to adopt Tessie the moment we saw her and heard of her birth. Tessie's mother was found living in a shed. She was living off the land and licking the dew off of plants for water. A kind lady found Tessie's Mom pregnant and hungry. She took her home and nursed her back to health.

The first thing that we noticed when we walked into Tessie's fairy Godmothers house was that they were big Red Sox's fans and so are we. They were from Massachusetts and so are we. I think the Gods were talking to us and Tessie was meant to be part of our family.  I wanted to name Tessie Sweet Caroline but was out numbered  in votes to call her Tessie. Tessie is a mix of Chihuahua and Rat Terrier. If you are considering a new pet please look into adopting a rescued animal. Our local shelter is overwhelmed with pets so much so that they have had to euthanize a large number of homeless animals. I want to wish you all a safe and happy Thanksgiving and take time to enjoy your family and friends. This Thanksgiving I will be slipping Tessie some Thanksgiving dinner under the table.

Very cute puppy. I have 3 rescue dogs and 12 rescue cats. One of the cats cost me $1200 in vet bills in the past week and he has to go back to the vet on Monday and that will be another $100. Rescues aren't cheap!

Kudos to you for all that you do. Is there any kind of insurance or discount that you can receive for your million dollar cat?

I sure wish we had insured this cat! But, no, and the vet doesn't give a volume discount. I wish he did.
Too cute and I am so glad that her mommy was rescued and nursed back to health. We found our sweet little girl living off the land too. Someone had abandoned her in a field behind a grocery store. We took her in and she has brought us so much joy for in the last 8 years.

yes they are it is just that rescued pets are a wanted surprise to us. LOL But you are right wanted pets can also be rescue pets or offspring of your own pets. All animals are special as far as I am concerned.

she is a cutie! my brother has adopted two dogs from the humane society, and I already know that if I ever movie from my apartment i'll be going there to get a dog too.

I talked to the family about getting a little dog, one who could be carried. BUT everyone is afraid the little one would get hurt :0(

Tessie is beautiful & Fenway is probably really happy. I have a feral cat colony, if you want you can check them out on Bzzagent under Bzzscapes Feral Cats. Resuced animals are the best to adopt. They are so thankful for the least little kindness & they will reward you for the rest of their time with you.

I will do that! I have a friend who has feral cats. She rescues and keeps them until they have a good home. It is a wonderful venture and thank you!

I foster dogs for an animal rescue in our county. We teach them basic manners, housebreak them, love them and nurse them back to health then try to find a happy, forever home. It is a temporary commitment but socializing a rescued dog or cat helps make them adoptable. Try it, it makes you feel good all over!!!! Kudos to all of you who adopt a rescued pet!

She is too cute! Our furbabies are all rescued except one, and she was found on freecycle. She might have ended up a rescue if they hadn't found someone to take her.
