Charles Manson’s Son, Matthew Roberts, Comes Forward (Photos)

Matthew Roberts, a DJ located in Los Angeles, recently discovered that his biological father is Charles Manson.  Roberts, who was adopted, decided to investigate his biological parents.  He began his search for his real parents twelve years ago. 

Roberts was able to easily track down his mother, Terry, but she was very reluctant to share any details about who his father might be.  He later discovered that in 1967 Terry took a trip to San Francisco with Charles Manson during which time she was raped during a drug-fueled orgy.  Roberts was conceived during that night and was born in March 1968.

Now 41 years old, Roberts is faced with the knowledge that his father was a serial killer.  The experience has been linkened to discovering that his father was Hitler.  He acknowledges the fact that there are similarities between himself and his infamous father.  Aside from the physical similarities, Roberts is also a musician and a poet like his father, however they are unalike in the most important way: “My hero is Gandhi. I’m an extremely non-violent, peaceful person and a vegetarian.  I don’t even kill bugs.  I’ve had long hair all my life.  I could make it go away, but I can’t let the world and their fears change me.”

Since the discovery of his biological father he’s corresponded with Manson through several letters.  Manson signs each letter with a Swastika.  Roberts explains, "He's my biological father. I can't help but have some kind of emotional connection. That's the hardest thing of all – feeling love for a monster who raped my mother."
