Lambert owes America an apology. He grabbed a female dancer by her privates, shoved a male dancer's head into his crotch, whipped people, and "made out" with a male dancer... It looked like he was raping people. This is disgusting and mortifying. For me, it has nothing to do with the fact he is gay. I would have probably been more offended if it was a man shoving a woman's face in his crotch. It was tasteless and he should be ashamed. It made Lambert look like an attention freak - like he has low self-esteem at the end of the day and this was his was of being the center of attention and buzz of American media. Adam Lambert - in the off chance you read this - your singing is great... leave the stage rape and gross gestures behind closed doors next time. American Music Association should make a public apology. And I hope Good Morning America cancels his performance later this week.

Adam Lambert doesn't owe anyone an apology, and you're ridiculous for even suggesting that. You have every right in the world to have not liked his performance, for whatever reason, but other than kissing a guy there was nothing even that racy. It's just pathetic when closed-minded morons have to whine online about how offended they are by someone's artistic performance instead of just turning off the damn television. You act like he was "raping" those dancers, but do you not realize that it was all part of a performance? A performance that, no doubt, had been rehearsed a dozen times before performed. The things that happened on stage may have surprised and offended you, but I can assure you that they did not surprise a single person involved. So don't get your panties all in a knot just because you don't want to see a man kiss a man! If it bothers you, don't watch it!! Problem solved. Imbecile.

Perhaps you would have been just as disgusted if the performance was done by a straight man with women. However, what if the performance was done by a woman? This was tame next to most of Madonna's performances, including the level of same sex interaction, and no one has anything to say about h er performances. People are terrified of male sexuality, especially gay male sexuality. If you don't like it, shut the TV and maybe examine your own issues.

I like Adam Lambert but the performance was ABSOULTELY DISGUSTING!!!! Did you notice the reaction of the crowd too? I had much higher hopes for this performance and it was completly tasteless. I was seriously embarassed for Lambert.

I've always been a fan and now...not so much. It was so intended to make this huge statement and it failed miserably. I would never support this tastlessness on any level. Adam tripping was just Karma's way of telling him, "OK, enough." BOOO Adam....I had higher hopes for you.

I LOVED Adam's performance! He took his creative energies and pushed the envelope! Adam has an amazing voice and there is nothing wrong with his having a provocative performance. I wonder how folks would have reacted if it was a female artist, rather than Adam, who did the performance.

I agree whole-heartedly! Why are people acting like his performance was "tasteless" and "disgusting"? Because he kissed a guy? I mean... Come on! It was a good performance meant to get peoples' attention, and he succeeded in a big way! :-) If people have a problem with his performance, they have every right in the world to turn the channel! Why go online and and bitch and whine about how "him tripping was karma's way of saying 'that's enough!'" People are so ridiculous!

OMG, I was so disgusted with Adam's performance. I am not referring to his vocal abilities but what he thought was "sexy". I am shocked that his performance was approved to be seen.I agree that it was totally tasteless. I think he lost many fans and many CD sales. What was
he thinking? He is so talented and has so much charisma. He hardly needed such a trashy performance as his debut. I hope he reads all these posts. Totally disappointed!!

I love Adam Lambert, I thought he should have won American Idol. I also do not have a problem with the fact that he is gay.He is an amazing talent, but I was very disapointed in his performance tonight! He did not have to make a point about the fact that he is gay to the world. I would have really liked to just here him sing without all the dramatics. But then again look at Lady Gaga!
