THE ADVENTURES OF SPIN & MARTY aired on ABC's Mickey Mouse Club in the mid 1950s - produced by Walt Disney.
It became a popular comedy western show among the younger viewing audience because of the Walt Disney theme toward family entertainment.
Three serials set at the Triple R Ranch, a boy's western style summer camp. The first series of 25 eleven-minute episodes, The Adventures of Spin and Marty, was filmed in 1955. Its popularity led to two sequels – The Further Adventures of Spin and Marty in 1956 and The New Adventures of Spin and Marty in 1957.
The shows' success led to the Spin and Marty Comic Books of the late 1950s. The first season's 25 episodes with bonus material were released on DVD by Disney in 2005.

Theme Song Lyrics
"Way out there on the Triple R. Yippee yay, yippee yo,
The horses are the best by far. Yippee yay, yippee yo.
So saddle up boys and saddle up well,
And listen to the story that I have to tell.
Yippee yay, yippee yi, yippee yo.
Tenderfeet come to the Triple-R. Yippee yay hay yippee-o
They get on a horse but they don't get far. Yippee yay hay yippee-o
O around and around and around they trot
'til they can't set down on their tender spot
Yippee yay yippey ye ye hi yippee-o"
Spin & Marty was a simple story, based on the rich & pampered Martin Markham who arrives at the Triple R in his Grandmother's limousine & rejects the dude ranch for boys because it is a "dirty old farm" in his aspirations.
All his comments do is instill anger in the other boys on the ranch, especially Spin Evans, who happens to be the most popular fella on the ranch.

As the summer passes on the two boys learn to enjoy each others company & become good friends. With good family values & lots of common sense mixed with humor & wisdom the boys enjoy their ranch adventures together.
The show mixes 14 year old boys, horses, cattle, ranch living, plus a generous mix of young girls. Annette Funicello was brought into the series along with Kevin Corcoran as Moochie.
Competing Ranches held several meets for the boys & girls to experience & show off they're newly found expertise's - including portions of song & dance.
All in all, a series full of teen fun, entertainment, & family values in diversified settings.
