Survivor Series Results - 2009 WWE PPV Coverage

Survivor Series is one of the four biggest WWE Pay-Per-View events of year.  It's right up there with Wrestlemania, Royal Rumble and Summerslam and has become a time-honored tradition, almost synonymous with Thanksgiving.  Each year, Survivor Series features traditional elimination matches where teams of wrestlers work to eliminate their opponents.  This goes on until one team has been completely eliminated, leaving behind the "sole survivors" of the match.  These make for some interesting scenarios where in the past it's come down to a team of 3 or 4 wrestlers facing just one opponent.  It could be that way again this year.  There's three of these matches on the card, one of which features the sexy WWE Divas.

Also on the card, two former friends will face off in a heated contest inside the ring.  The Animal Batista will face Rey Mysterio and attempt to destroy him as revenge for the Bragging Rights PPV.  At that event, Mysterio and Batista were both competitors in a Fatal Fourway match for the Undertaker's World Heavyweight title.  However, Batista was on the losing side as he got pinned by Undertaker.  After the match, he blamed his friend Rey Mysterio for costing him the match.  Now he wants revenge, as does Mysterio who was brutally attacked by Batista after their Fourway match.

There's also the two huge title defense matches on the card, both of which are Triple Threat matches.  In a triple threat match, three wrestlers compete all at the same time with the first man to score a pin or submission winning the match, and the title.  Under these rules, the champion doesn't even have to get pinned or submit to lose their title.  John Cena defends the WWE title in a Triple Threat match against Shawn Michaels & Triple H of D-Generation X.  Also, the Undertaker will put his World Heavyweight title on the line in a Triple Threat match against Chris Jericho & Big Show, who happen to be the Unified Tag team champions.  Will the current champ still be champ after Survivor Series, or will a new champion be crowned?
