An End to Dobbs on TV ? Not Hardly.

1. Years of extensive reporting on Iraq and Afghanistan including Pentagon reports of # of troops killed each month, # killed since war began, and # troops wounded. A good focus on the COST of Bush's imperialism.
2. Heros segments - profiles of hero soldiers, their deeds and horrific injuries.
3. Reports on the outrageous pay of Corporate America's CEOs.
4. Reports on falling wages of America's workers. Labor supply up. Wages down - 4%, 1980-2000. (Source: George Borjas - JFK School of Government, Harvard University).
5. Numerous reports on Port Security being grossly insufficient.
6. Report on Massachusetts health plan offering low income residents affordable new plans, costing $1 Billion/year, and penalizing firms without healthcare plans.
7. Numerous reports (a long series) on electronic voting machines counting votes by software, which helped Bush win in 2004 over Kerry (by "flipping" millions of votes in Florida and Ohio, maybe other states too). Also reported on paper ballots through optical scanners, with a paper trail.
8. Presidential and Congressional disapproval reports.
9. Reports on alternative energy, fuels, and hybrid cars.

In "Exposing fraud" report showed how terrorists can exploit immigration loopholes including asylum fraud, agricultural worker status, visa overstays, lottery green cards, and visa approvals granted (6 months after they were already dead) for Mohammed Atta and Malran Al Shehi, 2 of the Sept. 11 highjackers.
11. Report on New Freedom Museum in Chicago which celebrates and educates about the US Constitution, particularly the first amendment. Quite an impressive place,
nicely videoed for the show. Also showed areas devoted to abolition of slavery, US Civil Rights movement and laws, anti-war dissent history, and Native American Indians.
12. Refuted White House and big business while they touted the US economy, while Americans were struggling . Referenced reports from the Economic Policy Institute and the Pew Research Center. Reported the widening gap between the Haves & Have-Nots.
13. Reports ("The Do-Nothing Congress") on inactivity of the US Congress, giving themselves big raises, while major issues remain unresolved - Lobbying reform, Immigration, Social Security, Energy Supply, Iraq.
14. Expose ' of US CIS losing or destroying records, by Michael Maxwell, former Director of Office of Internal Affairs, USCIS, who said "I have never heard of a taxpayer being asked to foot the bill for publicly available information". CIS demanded $5000 for a single report, when CIS is required to provide H-1B stats annually to both the House and Senate Judiciary Committees, and they have not done that. Another example of
Bush administration coverup of their misdeeds exposed by the Lou Dobbs show (like
dozens of others before it).
13. "Exporting America" - interview with Sen. Byron Dorgan (D-ND) about $700 Billion/yr trade deficit, shipping jobs overseas, and his book "Take This Job and Ship It".
Includes picture of the Ughland house, a 5 story building in the Cayman Islands, "home" to 12,748 corporations (absently using the address to avoid paying US taxes).
14. In "Will Of The People" report exposed and publicized the Dubai Ports deal as a national security risk (and foreign ownership of our ports).
15. In the report "White House Inc.", covered the Medicare Prescription Drug plan
a boon for the pharmaceutical industry. Also exposed Bush's American Jobs Creation Act
a re-writing of the corporate tax code, which likely created jobs overseas, and the energy bill which gave Billion$ in subsidies to oil companies.
16. Presented hundreds of book authors about relevant social issues (ex. Brad
Meltzer, "The Book of Fate").
17. Report on Audra Schmeirer case of stolen Social Security # (see my article : "Is

18. Report on GAO report ripping pentagon for unfairly choosing Airbus over Boeing
(costing loss of thousands of American jobs).

20. The Sept. 6, 2006 show, "War On The Middle Class", presented Barbara Ehrenreich, author "Bait & Switch", more children without health insurance, wages slipping behind inflation (Ross Eisenberg - Economic Policy Institute), college tuition up,
gas prices up, housing costs up, household income down 5.4% since 2000 (It's dropped more since that 2006 Lou Dobbs report).

organization leaders, etc. a chance to express their views on TV,including opponents of Lou and his commentaries like Janet Murguia, President of La Raza, and Luis Gutierrez (D-IL) author of the STRIVE Act, both of whom have been on the show numerous times.
