Does She or Doesn't She? I Guarantee She Doesn't, or No Prizes for Sarah Palin

Suze dear, I feel you may have provided some hyperlink to Going Rogue and Pocket Obama but apparently they did not give any lead anywhere. Anyway, in my opinion there is less likelihood of Sarah Palin keeping a Pocket Obama in her wallet. That would amount to giving away her chances if ever she made a bid for Presidency after four years.

Since your post gave a mention of Obama factor, the latest development is that the American Prez. had, during his talks with his Chinese counter-part, brought up the topic of Indo-Pak relations in a bid to cement the strained relations between both countries. Although the reaction by China is yet to be known, but the rebuff by India asking US to keep off the Indo-Pak issue (HT dt.19.11.2009) should give some lead as to what US may expect of India in event of any overture on this particular issue. This is just by way of a passing thought.

As an independent observer, it would also be worth highlighting the fact that the speed with which Obama Administration has been vying to induct as many Indians in to White House is not going to pay dividends in the long-run. I have deliberately made a reference on this in view of the latest tally of Indians vis-à-vis other nations’ presently being represented within the fold of Obama Adminsitration has touched 80%. Will this work to Obama’s advantage or is it going to backfire? I have my reasons for stating this, but must for now keep my fingers crossed.

Moreover, I find the timing of Obama raking up the issue of Indo-Pak relations at a very odd time when, already some activity has started on the Indo-China border after the visit of Dalai Lama to Tawang (Arunachal Pradesh) and, if media is to be believed, 15,000 troops have been requested for the Indo-China border with a similar number of tanks likely to be deployed, tanks which could penetrate nuclear zones. And added to this is the fact that many of the air-fields along Indo-China border are being cleared. So I find it strange that the American Prez. made a beeline to rake up wrong issues at wrong time. These are points just out of the mind for public to know who stands where. Thanks for your post.

Vinod, this was really nothing but a comment that I would have written on the post itself, but I didn't wish to engage with the people on that post, so I decided to write it here. I was watching the People Page and chanced upon that post. You're really making it into some deep thinker that neither this was meant to be, nor the post to which it refers was meant to be. (well, at least I hope his wasn't meant to be)

Dexter, I bet you remember Bob Barker's show. I just remembered it was called Truth or Consequences, but not in time to put it in the post.

Dexter S: How come you say that? Will an Indian make a comment favoring US and will a US citizen ever degrade his own nation to place facts that have come about as news in papers? Where is your judgement of independant thinking that you want to convey to me? As an Indian was it not improper to have placed the comment for the advantage of US? How did you manage to rate me where?

It's so very simple, Larry, that to explain takes about a sentence. Someone wrote a post saying that there was no offense intended for Obama not to be reading a book by Sarah Palin, and I just reciprocated by saying that I'm sure she doesn't carry the little book of quotes of Obama so the field is even, and no offense should be taken from that either.

Well, you see, I had no idea there was a little book of Obama quotes. With that information it all makes sense. I shouldn't think either would take offense.

I mean, look at all the people who don't carry my book and I don't take offense. :-)

Well, if I saw a reference to a book called Pocket Obama and I didn't know what it was, I'd take the words and put them in the Google Search Engine and voila! Even if you didn't do that, the context of the post with the underlined words, and titles are underlined, would indicate that it's another book.

Here's a little ditty I wrote about the book of 'biblical' quotes. Since it was a sell out, I assume that most people do know what it is.

But I didn't know that a "Pocket Obama" was a book. It could have been a phone or a small statue or something else altogether. And since it wasn't important to me but I wanted to give your post another comment (does that still help you get points?) I wrote what I did.

(If I had been in detective mode I like to think "book" would have been my first guess, though. :-)

Larry, did you see what I said? Even if you didn't know that titles are underlined, and the titles of both both Sarah Palin's and the Obama quote book are underlined, indicating that it might be a book, all you had to do was to Google the words, pocket obama, and you would have known.

Larry, if anyone here with the way the points are accrued now are here to gain points, it's beyond any measure of reality to me. It was never my concern to gain points here, but it was an added bonus. Now it's something that is so far from being attainable unless you cooperate with them to align with other social networking sites to get views which I have absolutely no interest in doing, it's not even a consideration. I always enjoy 'seeing' you, though.

If you enjoy "seeing" me I am pleased that I commented.

Fortunately for me I have never bothered about the points so they don't matter to me but I know they do for some so I always try to do things that will give them points. (I'll bet the ratings don't do anything anymore either. :-)

I don't know if you've noticed, but the word starts with a letter games and such are virtually gone. Those were the people who were here to mean business about points. When Gather made that announcement a couple of months ago that points were not going to be assigned in the same way they had, but in the way I described above, most of those people disappeared.

Now I have noticed in the last few days that there are posts talking about points suddenly soaring for them with no apparent reason because they aren't doing anything different from what they normally do. I have also noticed a couple of those one word answer games displayed during this time, so I don't know exactly what they're doing with points right now, and I don't really care, but it's always interesting to me to note.

It's very nice of you to consider those people who are looking for points, and if I thought that this were a way for those people to really make a difference to them, I might consider it, but I don't think it ever was, and certainly don't now.

Just as a side note, SEO writing to me is not writing at all. It's a sort of connect the dot formula where you take words and prhases that are currently most often used to search, and lather them repeatedly and monotonously throughout the article connecting them with some phraseology to allow them to make sense. When you have your own blog you can use these as attractions to other more substantial articles, but SEO writing is as boring to write as it is to read, as far as I'm concerned.

Right, Lera, and don't forget about the Gibson interview. She's a total dolt, the likes of which I've never seen from any left winger, that's for sure! If Gibson had lowered his glasses any more, he'd probably have made her stoop to pick them up. Then, if they had captured that on camera they could have even depicted her as doing the intern thing like they did with Bush leaning over accepting the medal and comparing that to Obama's bow. It's a circus!

They love to try to dig up dirt on her. She wouldn't be able to clear her name. No matter what she did they would continue to believe the worst possible thing when it comes to Sarah Palin. Not like when we saw Obama bow to the Saudi King and then he and Gibbs deny it. It's the Obi-wan mind trick. He waves his hand and then you didn't see what you KNOW you saw.
