People's Sexiest man: Johnny Depp?

So, today People Magazine announced that Johnny Depp is the sexiest man alive. C'mon folks, I mean he is a cutie, but of the billions of human beings on the planet, the ONE sexiest? Not even close. Robin Matteson, from the Twilight movies reportedly ran a close second, but again, Really?

There are an abundance of sexy men out there, on TV, movies and in print, and a multitude sexier than perpetual boy/man, Depp.

In my humble opinion, here are a few who out rank Depp in the hot stuff department, in no particular order:

Antonio Banderas

Morgan Freeman

Stephen Moyer

Will Smith

Samuel L. Jackson

Alexander Skarsgard

Nathan Fillion

Leonardo Di Caprio

Depp is definitely a contender, and he transcends all age group. Something is right - or would that be wrong - when both mother and daughter agree Depp is hot.

I love Rob Lowe and Gilles Marini.

Di Caprio has not aged well. He was cuter in Titanic.

When I worked at the library, we used to put notes on people's electronic records like Major Perv or Snotty Bitch. Now days, photos are taken of those who are expelled from the library for various infractions, including reading Purrrrrr's poetry in a public place. The wall of shame at one particular branch is about 6 ft. x 4 ft.

Depp is definitely sexy -- he was just so CUTE in the pirate movie. He has a vulnerable sexiness to him, plus a lot of expression on his face. There are lots of sexy guys out there, though, and who "wins" has a lot to do with the age group! I'm terrible with names (I had to look up Depp to know who he was) so I can't generate any, but I liked Vin Diesel in some of his roles. I like the scary-looking sexy guys. :)

He's okay but looks like he's too nice a guy. I like my heroes *dangerous* ... but on my side, of course. [Had to look him up, too. I didn't mention it took me almost 10 minutes to get the name Vin Diesel...I couldn't remember his name OR the name of the movie! I'm gonna be one interested old lady.]

Johnny Depp just doesn't do it for me. I think he looks like a drug addict. Greasy, sunken eyes, bad boy. NOPE no thanks.

I like Edward Norton, Ryan Reynolds (especially when he is buffed up and chained half naked to the floor in that Blade movie) , Michael Hall (Dexter), and a few others..... LOL
