Voters are sending reps a serious political message of warning.
More than 9 million congressional 'pink slips' hit mark! The "pink slips" specifically warn that senders will oppose, in the next election, any member of Congress who votes for more spending, intrusive legislation that restricts personal freedom and more big government programs.
"The pink slips program is a great way to get the attention of members who have forgotten they will have to answer to the people next year on out-of-control spending and Washington power grabs," said Rep. Michelle Bachmann, R-Minn., yesterday. "I support it! And I want my constituents to know I hear them loud and clear." "There is a revolution brewing across this country," she said. "People are angry about losing their country and they are ready for action. This campaign is just the latest evidence."The "pink slip" officials are getting, is a warning and a reminder that they work for the taxpayers. It lists four key issues that are deemed unacceptable to participants.
1)government health care
2)cap and trade
3)"hate crimes"
4)any more spending

A Call To All Americans that are SICK TO DEATH of all the corruption infesting our government, to participate in the Fire Congress "Pink Slip Mail-in Campaign."
No matter what you do to voice your displeasure with what our so-called representatives in government are doing, it's only as effective as the consequences our representatives suffer for not doing what we've hired them to do . . . represent US. Watch what's happening with health care, the Dems aren't even letting Republicans in on policy making within the committees.
The pinks slips will be coming. All we can do is scratch and claw to keep our freedoms.

You and I .... people like us .. and people like those who stayed home from D.C. the last two rallies, for whatever reasons - we should be Congress' worst nightmare.
What I mean, irt the pink slips, is they should be aware that for every person who sends a pink slip, there could be one, two, or more people who feel the same way and who will act the same way in 2010-12 but who didn't send a pink slip or go to a rally.
But, shhh.... I am very okay being undercounted and underestimated.

I read about this earlier and thought it was pretty clever idea whomever came up with it. I went to the website earlier to check it out, but you have to pay a bit more than I can afford to send them. Oh well... I hope some are listening in Congress.
I read somewhere that for every email received by a member of Congress, they count it as like getting 20; figuring that if all people followed through, that is how many they would have gotten on a topic. I dunno'...

I have paid to have the pink slips sent out and urge all to do the same if you can!
I'd like to have the issues of our elected officials actually listening to their constiuencies, instead of Corperations, according to the Constitution.
All or nothing thinking like this contributes nothing to solving the real problems the country faces. It's fun to stand on the high moral ground and scream your head off but it doesn't get you much.
Better look into something called the Laffer curve.
If you tax something you get less of it. So, it you tax work and productivity, people work less. Why would I work harder if I was taxed more?

Any crime itself that is committed is ALREADY punished under various federal and state criminal laws. The only thing this had added is punishment for what a person thinks, feels, or believes. That intent is diametrically opposed to the U.S. Supreme Court.
The overwhelming majority of folks do NOT advocate crime and/or violence, the REAL issue and motives behind the 'hate' crimes law is its punishment of thought and belief.....
Most's legitimate concern is that once Congress makes any 'hate' crime a federal offense, THEIR categories of crime will EXPAND to include speech that may or may not cause someone, whether valid or not, to 'feel' intimidated or discrimanated against, simply because they do not agree with another's views, exactly as has been done in other countries that have adopted these so called "hate crime bills"...... Another governmental counterfeit of truth and justice!

The people could not make their positions more clear than when they vote FOR taxation WITH representation for the people. We need to keep voting them out until they get the message loud and clear. As Paddy Chayefsky wrote in “Network,” “We’re mad as hell and we’re NOT going to take it anymore.”
Is make sure the people in government that's supposed to represent them, will do so.
They should be reminded who they work for. And, it isn't the Lobbyists.

I printed out the PINK SLIP, "NOTICE, Ternination of Employment by, WE THE PEOPLE. I'm going to copy it onto bright pink paper, and distribute these around town, as well as send one to my Representatives.
I notice that in this thread, all too many jumped quickly back into the Republicans vs. Democrats routine that we've been trained to do, by both sides of this same coin, (The Republicans and the Democrats) in league with the giant Mega-Bucks-Mega influence of and over our lives.
If you have actually read these links, you'd have noticed that the actual agenda in the "THROW THEM ALL OUT" project, is to get people off of voting for a particular party and pay attention to which elected official is actually acting according to his or her Constitutional job, which one of the primary things is to help inform., and vote according to his/her constituencey (the voters/people, who put them in office via, the election proces).
The project is to vote them all out, and put in place those who would immediately legislate to unravel the the mess, according to the Constitution.
It's both the Republicans and the Democrats are corrupted by the lobbyists, and big Corperation money, which has it's big-fat-arm all the way up our butts via manipulation of OUR government, and policy, and law, via the manipulation of us, the voters, who continue to re-elect the same ones back into office, again, and again.
A full 96% of those swimming in aiding the Corperate agenda, and those who voted FOR these bailouts in the first place, were re-elected to their seats, by US!!!
