This week's episode of V titled A Brand New Day is just that a new day for the Visitors as they finally get their visas and can mix in with the rest of the world, stepping outside of the walls and gates of their ambassador buildings. Anna is the first to get her visa, but she is followed by many others as they start to go out into the world to see their new surroundings for themselves. This isn't an easy transition. It is one met with protests and resistance. The voice of the protest movement is one woman - Mary Faulkner. Her husband died on the day the visitors arrived in New York City when his jet crashed. She has now become the loudest voice of the anti-V movement, but before she is allowed to give a formal speech on the day the visas are handed out, Anna meets with her and somehow convinces the woman quickly that the V are there in peace. Her speech turns into one of support instead of one that puts them on blast.
While this is happening, Erica is still trying find more to join with to form a resistance. She is going one by one through the files, and the priest ends up helping her. It is he that finds George Sutton, the man they met that night at the warehouse. Apparently, the visitors killed his family, or so he claims. Jack does find the man, and the man comes to him. He is also in contact with the fifth column member who wants to rebuild that movement against the V as well, but his first attempt at that almost leads to his capture. He ends up killing the man he thought would help connect him to the leader of the resistance, John May.
Meanwhile on the mother ship, Dale wakes up, and he can't remember what happened. He is helped by another visitor, and with this help he remembers that it was Erica who saw his face, his true face, the night of the warehouse attack. He is set to kill her, but in a surprise twist, the visitor helping him is another fifth column member. That member thinks Erica could prove useful to their movement. By the end of the episode, George connects Erica, Jack and Ryan together. This should prove to be the beginning of the resistance movement. Even if Erica has just managed to stop an attack at the visitor center. An attack we learn was staged to win sympathy for the visitors. Another ploy by Anna.
On Earth, her son is only getting closer to the visitor Lisa. She manages to get him back into the program, and they only become closer. He even takes her to his home, where he is caught with her in his bedroom. However, she manages to hide her true identity. That is only an even bigger secret. Lisa appears to be Anna's daughter, and she wants Lisa to use Tyler in some plan. We only seem to be getting deeper into things.
