I am really surprised it took the writers of How I Met Your Mother this long to come up with the premise of The Playbook episode tonight. This episode was a classic as Barney introduces his playbook with all the schemes he has used over the years to seduce women, including the Lorenzo Von Matterhorn and the Ted Mosbey.
The synopsis of the Lorenzo Von Matterhorn is genius. You basically set up fictitious websites with your picture plastered everywhere with articles boasting all the businesses you own, all the millions you donate to charity and the millions of dollars that you are worth. You subtly drop the hint to a girl in the bar that you are the famous "insert fictitious name here". In Barney's case it was Lorenzo Von Matterhorn and he put his face on the cover of Extremities Quarterly for his unsuccessful search for a doctor to perform a penis reduction surgery .
You then walk away for a few minutes as the girl Googles your fictitious name, and all these websites pop up telling her that you are rich and famous. Will it work? Highly doubtful but if you missed the How I Met Your Mother episode definitely try to catch it somewhere...it was a classic. Barney's also added another acronym to to the mix: MILSWANCA. What does it mean?
