My Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade Obsession

I've always loved the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. To me,when you see Santa in his sleigh, I know the Christmas season has arrived. One of the things I loved was the snowglobes that Macy's put out each year. I was heartbroken when the 2001 snowglobe (the last one that showed the Twin Towers) got broken accidently. But I still have some others ones. The last two years I haven't seen them. I guess Macy's is not making them anymore.

Cute snowglobes. We always had the Field's Thanksgiving Day parade, and then Macy's bought Fields and all of Chicago whined. Now we just have the Thanksgiving Day parade. Never seen the snowglobes though.

Nice snowglobes. I didn't know Macy's sold them.
I love watching the parade. We will usually alternate between the Macy's parade & the Detroit parade, depending on commercials. I have a book I got last year from Dollar Tree- a nice hard cover book by Time Life that details the history of the Macy's parade.
