John Muhammad, the D.C. sniper who killed 10 people during a three-week killing spree in Virginia in 2002, was put to death tonight by lethal injection. He was pronounced dead at 9:11 PM, made no final statement and there were no complications with the execution.
Muhammad and his teenage accomplice, who is now serving a life sentence without parole, were arrested on October 24, 2002 when they were discovered sleeping in their car at a rest stop.
