In Rihanna’s words: “The more in love we were the more dangerous we became to each other-equally as dangerous.”
It amazes me how the media only focus on what they want to make headlines. But the truth is I watched Rihanna’s interview with Diane Sawyer and she admitted that they were equally dangerous to each other. She never put all the blame on Chris. What he did that day was wrong and strictly out of character, he let his emotions get the best of him-IN A BIG WAY! Everything happens for a reason and Rihanna also admitted that Chris had been physical towards her before-numerous times-maybe 8 or 9 times, and maybe it was meant for someone to witness what happened because it was long overdue. They both needed to get out of the situation before someone ended up dead! A woman these days is not going to take abuse too long without fighting back, and sometimes that’s what makes them stay because in their mind they unconsciously believe long as they fight back the pain goes away, but in reality it doesn’t!
Not all men continue the cycle of domestic abuse and even though Chris lost most of his fan base all he has to do is prove not only to himself but also his family friends and fans that he accept his responsibility and will be a better man by handling his emotions differently in a more cordial manner! It took a lot for Rihanna to tell her story and for Chris to face the public and I believe he is sincere and wants help so he can be a more mature man who can be with a woman and control his temper. But come on now there are plenty of celebrity men who have abused and probably still are their spouses such as: Kc from the group Jodeci, actor Sean Penn, the late singer James Brown and Josh Brolin, and former Soul Train host Don Cornelius just to name a few, and they didn’t make headlines like that!
