I’m sorry but I’m not trying to defend what Chris Brown did to Rihanna, but it is a deeper issue than just him being a man. Domestic abuse has become quite popular in young adults these days. Part of the reason for this behavior stems from actions shown through their parents. Rihanna and Chris have both admitted to witnesses abuse in the home from their parents. I don’t think neither one of them set in their mind to be a victim of abuse or become an abuser while entering adulthood. This is a cycle that started years ago, but just recently became more recognizable. However, when it comes to age a child who participates in things before their minds are fully dev3eloped will find themselves in situations they are not ready for, or yet able to handle. Meaning, when you are young and in love the way you express your emotions are a reflection of the examples shown.

In my mind age has no barrier or real influence on abusive actions. Even if we accept that those who experienced abuse or viewed it as a youngster we can't ignore the fact that situations can manifest itself at any age. It can explode at any time and create a new abusive person. My feelings about so many youngsters getting caught up in abusive situations is the lack of openness which was the former demeanor surrounding abuse. for too many years it was shoved under the rug, not spoken about and basically ignored. Now that support groups have come front and center more have the exposed the sickness which I believe abuse to be.

Abuse crosses all lifestyles, economic condition and social status and has no one set station in which it manifest itself. Though youngsters who experienced or saw abuse can be said to be predisposed to become abusive the same is true for older adults.

i agree spencer but it is true that yjese young adults immulate what they see and when i was young i watched my mom get beat up for 6 yrs by her husband. MY first love almost hit me but i gotout. i felt as if i was too young to b in a relationship and sometimes i felt i would accept abuse cause it happened to my mom.

i also feel that u cant do certain things in front of a child and not expect them to repeat it! Im not saying age is the reason for his behavior im saying age does matter in these circumstances. some men from where im from teaches their sons to hit women and some women tell their daughters that its okay!

That is just a shame because it is not ok and he was an immature rotten bratt and did not even allow her to enjoy her reward, in my opinion he was a super A HOLE!

Unfortunately, yes for some it has to do with age, but some do not learn it from example and were actually taught better and there are also those that saw it happen as kids and have the self control to not be like those they saw be abusive when they were kids.

When my husband was younger he witness his father hit his mother when she didn't do what he wanted cause he was drunk. He knows hitting isn't right and he doesn't hit me

My mom witnessed abuse when she was younger, but she vowed to work against it in her life and she has.
