Republican governing is in process. On C-Span one can witness the hurley-burley of bare knuckled politics, as the nation, via elected Representatives, brings to fruition the national will for Health Care reform. The journey started near 100 years ago and tonight, the “Peoples assembly,” the US House Of Representatives, will vote up or down.
The debate has been a regurgitation of party talking points on either side. Arguments and claims long debunked are flung forth by the GOP as fact. Numbers of uninsured vary in the tens of thousands on the Dem side. It is like watching the talent portion of a amateur beauty contest with each contestant singing either “You Light Up My Life” or “Hang Down Your Head Tom Dooley,” depending on ideology. Yet, in the long history of man THIS is the summation of the inalienable right to self govern.
