Don't you love to watch them? We have ducks that look a lot like these, because they're huge, but they don't leave for the winter - they stay right here and of course, people feed them. Our 'pond' is small, but it's running water, though at times, it does freeze and the ducks fly down to the river until they can come back.

Good haiku as well.

actually saw some geese (or really big ducks!) flying locally the other day!

It's a little smaller than the original. Her ladyship was home sometimes I am allowed to venture out on my own.

That's easy. You just get the camera ready, have a whistle in your mouth, walk up behind them, compose the shot, blow the whistle and hope when they go airborne they cross into your frame.

The photos and haiku are beautiful. I love sunsets. I think I took them for granted until my late son became so interested in taking photos of sunsets anywhere we happened to be. I learned to see a beauty in them I had overlooked before that. Thank you for sharing these.

Thank you, Robert, he is still a part of me and always will be. I spent time this weekend with a friend who lost her daughter, Kyle's first love, just a few months ago. We spent a lot of time crying together and reliving the days when both Kyle and Jessica were here with us. I didn't realize my thoughts and love for Kyle came through my posts so clearly.
