Along highway twenty-seven is the fantastic town of Monatuk Beach, which is ideal for those working their way up the eastern coast. There are lots of great places to stay in Montauk Beach, and it is tricky to select among them. Here's a few suggestions from a road warrior, from cheap campsites to high end resort style accommodations.
The breathtaking View. The most costly option listed here, with a starting room rate of $695 ( at the time of this writing ). This beautiful hotel offers its own personal beach, and is conveniently nestled into the lush hillside. The service is exquisite, and each room offers a full list of facilities. I highly recommend the breathtaking for honeymooners.
Montauk manor. A way more reasonable rate of $150 per night, this hotel offers everything you would expect from a mid-range option. There have some negative remarks concerning the service as of late, though I have never had a difficulty ( unlike the panoramic, I can afford to stay here more frequently ). There are glorious ocean views, which is truly what you are paying for here. Highly recommended.
Royal Atlantic Beach Resort Hotel. The location is ideal for someone looking to stroll into downtown and historic districts. Right along the coast, like the previous hotels, the Royal is zilch to write home about... It is like something of an old people home, though it's a value option, with easy beach access.
These are the 3 places I recommend to clients when they visit Montauk Beach. Keep in mind that all offer sea views, with assorted levels of service and accommodation.
