I am not so sure while finding a $5 dollar bill in my pocket of a washed pair of jeans makes me so happy...I mean it isn't as if some elf climbed into the washing machine to put it there...it was my money all along...
Not long ago, I found $1 in a jacket pocket, and it made me feel great - as if a windfall had come my way. I'd forgotten about it, obviously, so it was a real treat!
That always makes me happy, too. Last winter I pulled out a coat that I hadn't worn since I lived in Missouri for some reason. It wasn't still in a box or anything, so I had taken it out at some point after moving here (this was the second move since leaving Missouri). Anyway, when I put it on, I noticed that there was something in the zipped up chest pocket. It was a $20, a $10 a $5, and several singles, so apparently a whole day's tips that I probably thought I lost back in 2004. ;) We went out to eat.
I agree with everyone else, I would be excited also to find 5 bucks I didn't even know I had lost...hopefully it came out of hubby's pants though and rules here are finders keepers if it is in the wash!!
